Warm Winter

‘Warm winter’, sounds paradoxical; quite opposite to the chilled weather outside. When one is shivering and finds the cold wave unbearable, how can we say the winter is warm? Generally speaking, this season is replete with odds. The end of cold December welcomes the new year with great warm wishes. In the midst of the frosty weather there is an unbound joy and energy in the hearts of everybody. This period of the year is marked with renewed vigor in every heart though nature shows no sign of growth and seems to be shrinking due to freezing winter weather. On a more humorous note, even the all glorious Sun God seems to be on rest and tries to protect itself from the harsh winds that are an inseparable part of the winter.

However, the chilled weather does not deter anyone to feel the instinct of carnival and to enter the new year with astounding ecstasy. Here, it becomes clear that life is a mixture of odds. Whatever is going on in the outer world does not always match the inner world of a human being. If one understands this in true sense the chaotic problems would fade away in a more natural way. This reminds one of the famous lines of a renowned poet who explicitly wrote these contradictory lines in one of his poems “our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought”. The two exact opposite feelings of sweet melody and melancholy are tuned in just a simple way. So, rather than becoming bitter in disagreeable circumstances one can storm the weather both inside and outside to make a rhythm in grim and unpleasant situations.

This is the truth of life that most of the time, one unstoppably progresses in difficult state of affairs more profoundly than in the time of comforts and complying situations. This is not just a poetic expression but a real case scenario. So, whenever one feels stuck or in any kind of dilemma related to the tribulations of life, always remember that the life is a complete mixture of odds. Never forget that “every cloud has a silver lining”. This means that that the dark side of anything is also marked with a bright ray of hope.

The cycle of season always revolves and so is the progression of life. “Nothing is constant, only the change is constant”, another paradox, a self-contradiction and the very truth of life itself. “If winter comes, can spring be far behind”. No one can deny this fact. The only thing to pay heed is that in the ever-changing chain of events one must be hopeful and feel cheerful with child-like curiosity. Go with the flow of time, having good gripping in the inner strength. Believe in the cosmic intelligence of change and see miracles in odd situations.
