What is Insomnia?

It is a condition in which person has difficulty to fall asleep and to remain asleep. It may be due to excessive stress, tensions and some pathological conditions.

  • Taking a glassful of milk with sufficient sugar before bedtime is suggested.
  • Taking a cup of curd at dinner will help inducing sleep.
  • 2 tsp of honey in a glass of water before bedtime will induce a sound sleep.
  • Application of oil (coconut oil/sesame oil) on body and head will induce sleep.
  • Total body massage and long shower baths will induce sleep.
  • A regular activity during day and mild exercise at night enhances the quality of sleep.
  • Yoga will provide mental and physical relaxation and induce sleep.
