The main challenge in predicting topical events is that we usually do not know the exact time when the specific event will occur before hand except in rare cases nor we are really sure about the exact date except to depend on published articles on the Internet.
The second challenge is how to extrapolate the interpretation of the effects of houses and planets on the specific event chart based on the same principles of individual chart interpretation.
But still we are trying to establish the relevance and methodology of astrology and there is no mystery or magic about it. Usually astrologers are very prompt to explain why something has happened as a postmortem exercise after the event or claim that they had predicted it earlier.
