IPL Semi Finals & Final- 22nd May 2009- 24th May 2009

At last we have reached the semi- final stage of the IPL matches being played in South Africa. Four teams are now in the fray. Our earlier predictions were based on the captain's chart only. As I look back at our predictions we are now convinced that Astrological signatures of the captain's chart can only give more than 60% accuracy over a spread of 10 matches per week. Though last week we were right for 5 out of 10 matches but we had ignored the captain's astrological score in both the matches played by Kolkata team and we had declared them to be losers.

However, in semi- final stage the spread will be for only two matches and in the final stage we are taking about just one match so, we have decided to base our semifinal and final predictions on a more detailed analysis. We will share our methodology with you and also the basis of our conclusion. We will not only consider the Captain's chart but will also consider the entire team. This is going be a Five step process.

1. Score of the Captains chart
2. Total score for all the remaining 10 members of the team.
3. Find the number of players in each team who will score 8<10 and allot a percentage score for the numbers. This is done to identify the possibilities if individual member to have an extra ordinary performance which can swing the matches.
4. We will then compute the total cores based on all three criterion of each team normalized on a scale of 100. This will give the total score of an individual team based on equal weightage to all the three criterion that we have set.
5. We will then give higher weightage to each of the three criterion and arrive at the total score of each team.

The team which will come out winner maximum number of times will be our choice on the favorite for the match. Astrology like any other forecasting technique is not an exact science. Astral signatures are not only the criteria for an individual to perform or for a team to win. It will be irrational for us to conclude that Astrology like magic must always give correct results and if it fails to give correct results it must be bogus.
