A natal chart is the mirror of one's soul and its orientation. Each planet rules a ray of time, which is a ray of eternity. As each moment in time is itself a flash of eternity. Therefore, planets not only show our bondage to karma but also indicate a way of liberation from it - the means to move into the eternal, to move from darkness into light. In this way we use the language of astrology as a symbolic tool, to enhance and fructify our existence upon this earth.
The special status of planets can mean a very different picture together with the combined effect of the other planets. Many times in certain houses it they also depict, the field of impressions or past karma operative behind the present incarnation. Hence, the natal chart and special status of the planets is an important karmic indicator.
A strong chart, and a strong planet can have two very diverse meaning. It is not necessary to have exalted planets to enjoy a perfect life of happiness. Neither is it mandatory that a debilitated planet is the root cause that shadows the life with suffering.
However it is important that we know how and where we could improve. It is most important for all of us to know our weak points as well as our strong points.
