Ayurvedic Treatment take into Consideration the prakruti of the patient Dosha Sthithi (i.e. the fluctuations of the humors), Desha (Region where patient resides). Considering the above points it is then decided by the vaidya which type of treatment is to be done.
Broadly speaking there are two major types of Treatments according to Ayurveda they are Shamana and Shodhana. Panchakarma the word which is widely used worldwide is a type of shodhana chikitsa.
In Ayurveda, after diagnosis(through consultations) comes treatment. Once the condition is diagnosed, the treatment is given according to constitutional type.
