Yellowish discoloration of the eyes and mucous membrane is called as Jaundice. Along with the above symptoms it associated with loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting. This is termed as "Kamala" in Ayurveda.
2 tsp of fresh bhumyamalaki juice with a little sugar taken thrice daily relieve jaundice within one week.
An infusion prepared from snakeguard leaves in the dose of 30-60ml twice daily will cure jaundice.
Taking plenty of barley water relieves jaundice.
Taking 2-3gms powder of Indian gooseberry, twice daily relieves jaundice.
Taking 1gm of Haritaki powder with jaggery, thrice daily relieves form jaundice.
1tsp of picrorhiza in warm water twice daily control jaundice.
