| DYSENTERY |
What is Dysentery ?
Passage of watery stools with blood and mucus, associated with gripping pain of the abdomen. Generally, it is caused by amoebic infections. In Ayurveda, it is called as "Pravahika".
- The powder of pomegranate rind in the dose of 10 grams, twice daily is an effective remedy for dysentery.
- One teaspoon of bale unripe bale fruit pulp with sufficient quantity of jaggery taken thrice daily, will relieve dysentery.
- Two teaspoon of ishabgul powder in 1/2 glass of water before going to bed.
- Pieces of onions mixed with curd and equal parts of tender coriander leaves. Chew slowly.
500mg of latex of Banyan tree, twice daily, controls the dysentery.
