What is Baldness (Alopecia) ?
Alopecia is abnormal loss of hair of the scalp (head) region. The important reasons for that are dandruff, loss of nourishment of the hair, and exposing the hair to extreme heat and cold. In Ayurveda, this is termed as "Khalithya".
- Rubbing of the scalp with fingers will reduce hair-fall.
- Application of amla oil to the head reduces hair-fall.
- Application of the oils prepared with neeli, bhrungaraja, amla prevents the hair fall.
- Application of alfalfa juice with carrot juice to the hair prevents hair-fall.
