US President Barack Obama has completed the first One hundred days in his office. At the time of his swearing in I had given a general prediction for 2009 based on his chart .
It is time to give an update as I have received many such requests from individual members.

My predictions will be mainly based on the Dasha Systems and the important transits that he is experiencing with respect to his official chart (4th August,1961, 19:24 hrs , Honolulu HI).

The Dasha system : He had been experiencing Jupiter/ Moon period between 23rd November, 2007 till 24th March, 2009). As per his chart, it is the 7th House Lord, exalted Moon located in his 5th house is primarily responsible during it’s sub-period in the main period of Jupiter to his historic and spectacular rise to become the President of USA , the most powerful and influential person in the world today. It is Moon which is responsible for the great adulation and popularity that he enjoys not only in USA but in the whole world.
After the sub-period of Moon he had entered the sub-period of Mars on 24th March, 2009, which will continue till 28th February, 2010. The onset of Mars sub-period signifies the “action time” for Barack Obama.

Mars is located in his 8th house from the ascendant conjunct with Rahu in his 8th house. This is an extremely powerful, intense as well as violent combination in his chart. During the first 100 days, it is really from the onset of Mars period that he started his first battle to fight the recession in USA. He had to take on the powerful CEO’s of corporate America . He stood firm and did manage to clip their wings and without letting the battle become ugly in the public domain, he has managed to make them toe his line. He also took on the military/ internal security by closing down Guantanamo prison, thereby restored US prestige in terms of civil liberties and he is relentless pursuing the prison torture incidents in order to introduce systemic reforms.

Jupiter in his ascendant though debilitated but in it’s own sign Pisces in the Navamsa chart gives him the political skill and maneuverability like Chanakya to pursue his overall vision and goal for USA

So far so good and What is Going to happen during next 100 days?

During next 100 days, Obama will experience Jupiter/Mars/ Rahu period between 13th April,2009 till 4th June, 2009.

I have already commented on the significance of Violence implied in Rahu/Mars combination in 8th house of his chart. In domestic front he will also have to face the challenge of how to decrease the Swine Flu epidemic spreading all over the world which has originated in USA during the Jupiter- Mars/Rahu period.
Internationally he has already initiated moves to reach out to Iran to bring their sobering influence on Taliban in Afghanistan.
He is likely to take decisive steps to fight the Taliban and to neutralize it’s threat both in Afghanistan and Pakistan. He has already managed to convince Pakistan to fight and confront the Taliban and terror elements operating inside Pakistan.

However, this will also create a backlash from Taliban and their allies, and USA itself may become targets for terror attacks from them.

I can quite imagine the tension, stress and conflict that president Obama is experiencing internally. His external appearance, speech and body language will remain as calm and inspiring as ever.

However in my opinion during the next 100 days President Obama will face his biggest challenges.
